How come there are muslims and islamists but not christians and christianists? Some say that the word “islamist” was made up to sanitise the brutal reality of Islam. Is there such thing as an Islamist, or are there are only Muslims and non-Muslims? “Islam” means “entire surrender of the will to God” and “Muslims” mean “those who have surrendered themselves”, often to bad leaders. Some are made to surrender with acid in their face, like M. Ebrahimi in Iran.
